Grace Parson is a 59-year-old woman suffering from worsening arthritis that leaves her in constant, acute pain and unable to enjoy her life. Her doctor is dismissive, telling her that her pain can’t be cured or even slowed.
While at church, Grace’s left hand starts involuntarily spelling words in sign language, which her friends and family believe to be a spiritual gift.
What begins as an unexplained numbness, leads to a full loss of physical control, leaving Grace paralyzed. Despite extensive testing, doctors can’t determine the cause. Near death, she inexplicably regains movement, which is attributed to her strong faith.
In stark contrast, Grace realizes she’s lost control of her body to a malevolent entity that she refers to as “Her”. Is she possessed? Is she insane?
Though Grace can see and feel everything, she cannot stop the unrestrained rage. Grace becomes an unwilling accomplice to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves most.
IN THE NEWS:
EXCLUSIVE: Catherine Corcoran, the actress known for her work in the Terrifier horror franchise, has launched FareStream Pictures, a production company focused on bold, emotionally charged storytelling in film and television that spotlights complex women and underrepresented voices.
Currently, FareStream is in pre-production on By His Hand, a film based on the occult novels by William R. Perry, who penned the adaptation. Halloween‘s Scout Taylor-Compton will direct, with Lee Waddell producing. The company is also developing Hera, a live-action series reimagining the Greek myth, where Corcoran serves as creator and lead writer. Other upcoming projects include a feature adaptation of Julia Bartz’s novel The Writing Retreat, in collaboration with screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos (Charlie’s Angels, The Pope’s Exorcist) and Veritas Entertainment (A Complete Unknown, Vikings), and a feature from writer-director Jackson Stewart (Beyond the Gates) where Corcoran is a co-producer.
Next up, Corcoran will appear and exec produce the film Best Friends Forever, which is in post, also starring in the Spider One–directed Big Baby, from executive producers Cher and Chaz Bono. Additionally, she has partnered with DC veterans Adam Schlagman and Kris Longo and their Panick Entertainment in writing two anthology comics: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, a reimagined, creator-driven celebration of the cult classic franchise, and The T.A.M.A. Compannual.
For Corcoran, it’s important to note that FareStream will operate safe sets — with intimacy coordinators, where necessary — practicing transparent accounting, with clear profit participation and tracked backend reporting for her collaborators. “Creativity and ethical practice can, and must, coexist for art to thrive,” she said. “Over a decade of experience in this industry has shown me that when artists feel safe, valued, and heard, their work flourishes. FareStream will foster an environment where that kind of courage is prioritized, both on and off screen. We champion safety, transparency, fair compensation, and collaboration, as the future of storytelling belongs to companies who know that great art requires great accountability.”
